"Before I got out, the only time I felt free to be me was when I had headphones on," she recalls.In her late twenties, Eden made the courageous decision to leave the cult, taking with her only her two young children and an unwavering hope for a better life. She began performing in upscale restaurants in São Paulo, Brazil, learning mainstream songs to connect with audiences and make ends meet.When her musical trio disbanded, Eden felt a pull to start anew. She moved to Wenatchee, a small town in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
